Artist Profile Derrick Oceng, is the professional tattoo artist and the CEO at 9inktattoos Company in Uganda, Kampala, aged 25 years Old
9ink began their professional artistic journey when they appeared on the Ugandan art scene in 2017. Since then, they have participated in a number of collaborative projects and have exhibited their work throughout the world.
Unlike many of their contemporaries, 9ink is primarily self-taught and has their own approach to - and definition of - art. They believe in constantly taking risks and believe that inspiration can be found wherever they look. To find out more about their philosophy, feel free to get in touch.
